Registration

With new guidelines and physical distancing required in the classroom, there are limited spots available. All classes will require a WEEKLY pre-registration. Pre-registration for classes opens each Sunday at 9AM and closes Monday at 6PM (or until the class fills up).

After registering, please wait for your weekly class confirmation before paying. This allows us to ensure that classes aren’t overbooked, and that parents have the opportunity to use their credits if available. Please wait for an invoice before making any payment. For any classes that are full, you will be notified of your waiting list status, and will be contacted if a spot becomes available.

Masks

Masks are MANDATORY for everyone during pick up, drop-off and while they are in any studio common area such as hallways, and bathrooms. When they are in the studio dancers do not need to wear a mask.

Teachers will be wearing masks at all times.

Travel

If you have travelled outside of Canada (air or land travel) or if you have been on any flight within the last 14 days of your class we ask that you stay out of the studio. Please disclose any travel outside of Ontario or any area that has a high COVID rate. I am trusting everyone to be forthcoming with any travel that they have taken. COVID has hit our GLS family closely and I am trying to create the most safe place for us to get back to dance.

Waiver

All students are required to present a printed health waiver each day of classes before they are allowed in the studio. Waivers will be available at the studio for you to sign and submit, or can be printed and filled out at home to send with your dancer.

Drop Off/Pick Up Procedures

Drop Off for all dancers in studios 1-4 is at the back door (Merivale Road side) and Pick Up is the front door (plaza side) when finished for the evening. Drop Off and Pickup for dancers in studios 5/6 is at the front door (plaza side). All dancers will need to have filled out the COVID questionnaire upon arrival (parent/or guardian signature required if under 16).

Dancers are to come dressed and will enter the studio one by one. No parents allowed in-studio at this time. Dancers will sanitize hands upon entering and exiting the studio and before and after using the washroom.

Please be at the studio 15 minutes early so all dancers can be processed before classes start.

Entering the Studio

All students will have a designated space to leave their outdoor shoes and bags and will be given a plastic bin for what they need to bring inside the dance studio for class. We ask that dancers only bring NECESSARY items for the evening such as dance shoes, a ziploc bag for their mask, nut-free snacks (must be sealed in a ziploc bag/container) and LOTS of water. ALL electronic devices (such as cell phones) must also be kept in a sealed ziploc bag for the night.

All levels will be assigned a specific dance studio for the night. Squares have been taped out on our dance floors to adhere to physical distancing guidelines. No changerooms are available at this time.

Dress Code

DRESSCODE FOR ALL AUGUST GROUP CLASSES: BLACK fitted dance wear (minimal accessories please!). Hair must be secured in a bun. Dancers will not be allowed to change during the evening so please come dressed! Tights not required for August group classes.

Physical Distancing & Sanitization

No dancers will come in physical contact with one another and will maintain 6 feet apart from others AT ALL TIMES.

We have adapted new cleaning protocols. Washrooms will be cleaned throughout the evening and the studios will be cleaned and disinfected each evening.

Feeling Unwell?

We do not want anyone coming into the studio if they are feeling unwell. If your dancer is feeling under the weather, please let us know by noon (12PM) the day of your class for a full refund.

Dancers and staff that show ANY symptoms upon arrival or at ANY POINT during the evening, will be sent home 🙁 Waivers will be kept on file to assure the safety of the dancer and staff in case of any outbreak.
